Dwarka District Police carried out a massive operation late night and early morning in Delhi and Haryana, targeting gangsters and their close aides. In this coordinated action, raids were conducted at 25 locations — 19 in Delhi and 6 in Haryana — with the involvement of around 380 police personnel. During the raids, 6 notorious criminals were arrested while 26 others were detained for questioning. Police seized a large cache of weapons, cash, jewelry, luxury vehicles, and electronic devices. The action was mainly against associates of gangster Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu and the Vicky Thakur gang, with the aim to dismantle their network, recover illegal weapons and money, and trace their links with associates operating from abroad.
Those arrested include Pawan alias Prince (18), a sharp shooter of Nandu gang; Himanshu alias Machhi (24), member of Vicky Thakur gang involved in seven cases; Prashant (32), a shooter of Nandu gang facing 11 serious cases; Rahul Diwakar alias Manpreet (25), member of Vicky Thakur gang involved in 20 cases; Ankit Dhingra alias Noni (34), linked with 10 cases of robbery and arms and connected with the gang’s financer; and Parveen alias Doctor (35), involved in more than 25 cases and listed as a Bad Character of Najafgarh police station.
From their possession, police recovered 8 pistols, 29 live cartridges, 3 magazines, ₹34.75 lakh cash, gold jewelry worth over ₹50 lakh, a bulletproof Fortuner, an Audi car (PB13BN0004), 14 expensive wristwatches, laptop, iPad, walkie-talkie set, cash-counting machine, and multiple mobile phones. Police stated that all seized electronic devices and phones will be examined to trace international connections of these gangs. Further investigation is underway.
