Central District Police, Rajinder Nagar, have arrested two absconding criminals involved in a brutal attempt to murder case. Both accused, who were working as gym instructors, were apprehended after extensive technical surveillance and manual intelligence gathering.
On 5 August, the complainant, a gym owner in Rajinder Nagar, alleged that his client, Vikas Solanki, threatened to kill him. On 11 August, Vikas Solanki, along with his associates Vikram, Saroj, Pankaj, Rahul Chaudhary, Sanjay Chaudhary, and others, allegedly armed with a country-made pistol, revolver, iron rod, and wooden sticks, forcibly entered the complainant’s gym.The accused brutally assaulted the complainant and even attempted to destroy CCTV evidence by stealing the DVR.
Based on the complaint on 13 August, an FIR was registered at PS Rajinder Nagar under charges of attempt to murder and violation of the Arms Act.
During the course of investigation, the police had already arrested Vikas Solanki and Rahul @ Pankaj Chaudhary. However, two accused persons remained absconding.
Considering the gravity of the offence, a dedicated police team was constituted, under the supervision of Sh. Ashish Kumar, ACP/Karol Bagh, led by Insp. Rajinder Singh, SHO/Rajinder Nagar, the team worked relentlessly, carrying out technical surveillance, developing manual intelligence, and analysing CCTV footage. After sustained efforts, on 16 September, the police successfully traced the accused. Rahul Savita arrested from Ashok Vihar, Delhi & Akash Luthra was arrested from Khampur, Patel Nagar, Delhi.

- Rahul Savita, 28 years old, resident of Shadipur Khampur, Patel Nagar, Delhi. A school dropout and working as a gym instructor.

- Akash Luthra, 25 years old, resident of Shadipur Khampur, Patel Nagar, Delhi. A graduate and also working as a gym instructor.
On interrogation, the accused disclosed their active role in the incident, and their arrest is considered a major success in the investigation.
DCP Central District, Nidhin Valsan, commended the dedicated work of the Rajinder Nagar police, highlighting that their teamwork not only secured the arrest of the absconding criminals but also brought significant progress in the probe.
