In a major breakthrough, Dwarka South Police busted an interstate gang of carjackers and highway robbers within 12 hours, arresting 4 accused including their notorious kingpin. The gang was involved in multiple cases of dacoity, carjacking and highway robberies across Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
On 26Sep, a PCR call was received at PS Dwarka South regarding a gunpoint robbery with a cab driver. The driver said he was booked for a ride from Signature Bridge to Sector 09, Dwarka. At about 2:00 AM, an Ertiga car reached there. A man stepped out, placed a pistol on his forehead, and robbed his wallet, phone, and car key and the accused escaped from the scene in the Ertiga car
A case was registered at PS Dwarka South and investigation began.A special team was formed under SHO Dwarka South Rajesh Kumar Sah, supervised by ACP Dwarka Kishor Kumar Rewala.
The team scanned more than 50 CCTV cameras, activated informers, and used technical surveillance. Soon, HC Praveen Yadav received a tip that the suspects were moving in the PS Chhawala area.
The police traced the vehicle, leading to an 8–10 km chase. Two accused were caught, while the mastermind, Alladin, escaped. Later, another accused was arrested from Goyla Dairy.
The next day, in a follow-up operation, Alladin, the kingpin of the gang, was also arrested with a country-made pistol and live cartridge.
Accused Arrested
1. Alladin (21 yrs) – Gang leader, 10 previous criminal cases, resident of Goyla Dairy, Delhi.
2. Javed (21 yrs) – Resident of Goyla Dairy, Delhi.
3. Sohitab – Resident of Jodia village, Rajasthan.
4. Juned (19 yrs) – Resident of Karawal Nagar, Delhi, nephew of Alladin.
Recoveries
• 1 robbed Ertiga car (HR55AVXXXX) – Nuh, Haryana.
• 1 robbed Swift Dzire car (UP82BTXXXX) – Timarpur, Delhi.
• 3 robbed mobile phones.
• Car key, DL, RC, Aadhaar, PAN, and other important documents.
• 1 country-made pistol with live cartridge.
With this successful operation, 5 cases of dacoity and carjacking across Delhi-NCR were solved, and the arrest of Alladin, a repeat offender with 10 previous cases, has dealt a strong blow to organized street crime.
