OUTER-NORTH DISTRICT POLICE CRACKS BLIND ROBBERY CASE – TWO HABITUAL ROBBERS ARRESTED, CASH RECOVERED

Report : Manmeen Walia, New Delhi

The Outer-North District Police have successfully solved a blind robbery case with the arrest of two habitual robbers, Bittu and Shishpal, both residents of Hisar, Haryana. The team recovered the complainant’s Canara Bank ATM card, ₹45,000 in cash, and the motorcycle used in the crime.

A complaint was received from Ms. “R”, a resident of Indraj Colony, Bawana, Delhi, stating that her ATM card was forcibly exchanged and ₹60,000 was withdrawn from her account. Acting swiftly, the police registered a case (FIR No. 570/2025) at PS Bawana under the Arms Act.

Taking the case seriously, a special team was formed under the supervision of  Joginder Singh, ACP/Bawana, and overall supervision of Hareshwar Swami, DCP/Outer-North District. The team worked under the guidance of Vijay Singh, Joint Commissioner of Police, Northern Range, Delhi.

The police team examined hundreds of CCTV cameras and traced the accused’s route from Delhi to Haryana. Using technical surveillance and local intelligence, the team identified and arrested the accused

1.Bittu (33 years), son of Ram Kumar, resident of Rajthal village, Hisar, Haryana.

2.Shishpal @ Leelu (35 years), son of Parkash, resident of Rajthal village, Hisar, Haryana.

Both were found to be habitual offenders. Bittu was earlier involved in one case under the Arms Act.

Recovery

•₹45,000 robbed cash recovered (₹20,000 from Bittu and ₹25,000 from Shishpal).

•One Canara Bank ATM card of the complainant.

•One motorcycle used in the crime.

Interrogation

During interrogation, accused Bittu confessed to committing the crime along with Shishpal and another associate named Tinku. Police are making efforts to arrest Tinku.

The outstanding success in solving this blind robbery case stands as a testament to the strong leadership and guidance of Vijay Singh, Joint Commissioner of Police, Northern Range, Delhi, whose continuous supervision and strategic direction played a key role in cracking the case.

His emphasis on professional excellence, teamwork, and the use of modern investigation techniques has greatly strengthened the efficiency of policing across districts.
