The Central District Police arrested a notorious criminal and active bad character (BC) of PS Prasad Nagar, identified as Mohit @ Mohan (31), resident of Khalsa Nagar, Tank Road, Karol Bagh, who was previously externed for one year. He was caught red-handed with an illegal button-operated knife during night patrolling.
On 13 Sep, at about 1:00 AM, while patrolling near CPWD Quarters, Dev Nagar, Arya Samaj Road, Ct. Shubham noticed a suspicious person who tried to flee on seeing the police. The alert constable swiftly overpowered him. Upon search, a large button-operated knife was recovered. Following approval from senior officers an FIR was registered under Arms Act & DP Act at PS Prasad Nagar.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Sh. Ashish Kumar, ACP/Sub-Division Karol Bagh, and overall supervision of Sh. Nidhin Valsan, DCP/Central District.
The accused has a long criminal history with 12 previous cases of house theft and snatching registered against him at PS Prasad Nagar and other police stations. Despite being externed in June 2025, he continued indulging in criminal activities.
The Central District Police reaffirm their commitment to strict action against habitual offenders and anti-social elements to ensure the safety of citizens.
