In a major action before the festive season, the ARSC team of the Crime Branch has busted an illegal storage house of banned firecrackers in Nand Nagari, Delhi, and recovered around 160 kg of illegal firecrackers.
Acting on a secret tip-off, the police received information on 6th October, about a godown in D-Block, Nand Nagari, where a large stock of banned firecrackers was being kept.
A special team led by Inspector K.K. Sharma and supervised by ACP Sanjay Kumar Nagpal (ARSC) was formed.
The team conducted a successful raid and recovered a huge quantity of banned firecrackers. The accused, Kishan Singh (46 years), son of Late Shivdan Singh, resident of Nand Nagari, Delhi, was arrested on the spot.
A case under FIR No. 294/2025, dated 07.10.2025, under sections 125/288 BNS, 9(B) Explosive Act, and 5/15 Environment Protection Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi, has been registered.
During the raid, the police recovered 160 kg of banned firecrackers. Further investigation is underway to trace the supply chain and identify others involved.
