New Delhi, The Rajouri Garden, West District Police in a major success against street crime, the vigilant staff of PS Rajouri Garden have arrested two active and notorious criminals and recovered two stolen vehicles along with two country-made pistols and four live cartridges.
Both accused have been found previously involved in more than 90 criminal cases across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
Acting upon the directions of senior officers to curb criminal activities and nab habitual offenders, special teams of PS Rajouri Garden were formed under the close supervision of Inspector Ravinder Joshi, SHO/Rajouri Garden.
During night patrolling on 05 Nov, a team comprising Constable Amandeep and Constable Ramniwas was present near Dump Yard, TC Camp, Rajouri Garden, when they noticed a suspicious person with a scooty. On being questioned, he attempted to flee but was swiftly apprehended.
A country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Upon verification, the scooty was found to be stolen from the area of PS Tilak Nagar. The accused was identified as Anuj, son of Mange Ram, a resident of Village Kheri Junardar, Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, aged 26 years. He is a desperate criminal with more than 50 previous involvements in cases of theft, robbery, and snatching across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
A case under the Arms Act was registered at PS Rajouri Garden, and the accused was arrested.
In another operation on 06 Nov, a team comprising Head Constable Sudhir and Constable Rameshwar was conducting night patrolling near West Gate Mall, Rajouri Garden, when they noticed a man on a motorcycle who tried to escape after seeing the police party.
He was intercepted and apprehended, and during his search, one country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered. The motorcycle was verified on ZIPNET and found stolen from the area of PS Palam Village.
The accused was identified as Mangal alias Sanju, son of Jaipal, a resident of Village Khanpur Kalan, PS Jhinjhana, District Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, aged 35 years. He is a habitual and desperate offender with more than 45 previous criminal involvements. A case vide FIR under the Arms Act was registered against him at PS Rajouri Garden.
During interrogation, accused Mangal alias Sanju disclosed his involvement in several cases registered in multiple police stations across Delhi. He has been evading court proceedings, and various courts have already issued bailable warrants against him. Both accused have confessed to their involvement in multiple crimes, and further investigation is underway to trace their associates and identify receivers of stolen property.
With the recovery of two country-made pistols, four live cartridges, one stolen scooty, and one stolen motorcycle, the Rajouri Garden Police successfully worked out two cases of vehicle theft—one from PS Tilak Nagar and another from PS Palam Village. Both accused have a long history of criminal activities, having turned to crime due to poor economic backgrounds and association with bad elements.
Under the able guidance of DCP West District, Darade Sharad Bhaskar, the operation stands as yet another example of his dynamic leadership and strategic policing approach. His continuous emphasis on proactive patrolling, intelligence-based action, and community safety has led to multiple successful operations across the district.

His focus on maintaining law and order, swift response to criminal activities, and constant encouragement of the police staff have significantly enhanced the overall performance of the West District Police and boosted public confidence in the force.
The commendable efforts of Inspector Ravinder Joshi, SHO Rajouri Garden, also deserve special recognition for his proactive leadership and hands-on supervision, which ensured the swift arrest of the habitual offenders. His continuous focus on field intelligence, teamwork, and prompt police action has greatly contributed to maintaining peace and safety in the area.
The success of this operation once again highlights the visionary leadership of DCP Darade Sharad Bhaskar, and the dedicated efforts of SHO Rajouri Garden, Inspector Ravinder Joshi, whose vigilance and disciplined policing continue to make Rajouri Garden and the entire West District safer for its citizens.
