In Delhi’s Rajouri Garden area, police had an encounter with a wanted snatcher named Rajan alias Bhola. After the exchange of fire, police arrested
Three active snatchers — Rajan @ Bhola, Sonu, and Karan — who were involved in multiple snatching cases across Rajouri Garden and Paschim Vihar areas.
During the operation, the main accused, Rajan @ Bhola, was apprehended after an exchange of firewith the police. The operation led to the recovery of one car, two scooties (including one stolen), one pistol with two live cartridges, and ₹15,000/- snatched cash. With this major breakthrough, five cases of snatching have been successfully solved.
Acting on reliable intelligence and technical surveillance, the team traced the suspects using a car (HR-10-V-9046) involved in the crime. The operation was led by SI Ravi Narwal and SI Prakash Kashyap, HC pankaj, HC shiv kumar, HC krishan , Rajesh kumar under the close supervision of Inspector Ravinder Joshi, SHO Rajouri Garden, and Ms. Niraj Tokas, ACP Rajouri Garden.
During the investigation, Sonu was arrested, and ₹15,000/- snatched cash was recovered from his possession. On his disclosure, Karan was also arrested, along with a scooty used in the offence.
On 26 Oct, acting on secret information, a police team strategically took position near Ganda Nala Parking, Sub-Registrar Office, Basai Darapur, Ring Road.
When the wanted accused Rajan @ Bhola arrived on a stolen scooty (DL9SBY4288), he opened fire at the police team. Despite repeated warnings to surrender, he fired again. In self-defence, SI Prakash Kashyap returned fire, resulting in the accused sustaining a gunshot injury to his right leg.
He was immediately shifted to GGSG Hospital, Raghubir Nagar, for medical treatment. A separate FIR regarding the firing incident has been registered at PS Rajouri Garden.

Profiles of the Accused
• Rajan @ Bhola (22 yrs): A habitual and desperate offender, previously involved in 46 criminal cases including theft, snatching, robbery, and Arms Act violations.
• Sonu (33 yrs): Receiver of stolen property and facilitator in disposal of looted items.
• Karan (20 yrs): Close associate of Rajan; involved in multiple snatching incidents and vehicle movements during crimes.
