In a swift and highly professional operation, the vigilant team of PP Madipur, PS Punjabi Bagh has successfully cracked a high-value burglary case, recovering gold, silver, and cash stolen from a residence in Madhuban Enclave, Punjabi Bagh.
On 17 January , a PCR call was received at PS Punjabi Bagh reporting a burglary at LIG Flats, Madhuban Enclave. The complainant stated that unknown individuals had broken the window grill and stolen gold ornaments, silver articles, and cash while the family was away attending a wedding.
The police team immediately reached the scene, inspected the premises, analyzed CCTV footage, and registered an FIR.Surveillance footage revealed two masked persons entering the house during the early hours and committing the burglary.
Through technical surveillance, local intelligence, and careful investigation, the accused were identified. During targeted raids:
• Meenu (38 years) was arrested first, resulting in the recovery of a portion of the stolen property.
• Based on her disclosure, the main accused Manish (22 years) was apprehended, leading to further recoveries.
• Efforts are ongoing to arrest the absconding accused Shankar and recover the remaining stolen items.
Profile of the Accused
• Meenu (38 years): Wife of Shankar, artificial jewellery seller, no prior criminal record.
• Manish (22 years): Son of Late Raju, no prior criminal record.
Recovered Property
• Gold: 432 grams (approx. ₹65 lakhs)
• Silver: 3.2 kg (approx. ₹10 lakhs)
• Cash: ₹80,499
• Clothes, shoes, and bag used during the crime
The operation was carried out by a committed team of PP Madipur under the leadership of SI Naresh Ahlawat (I/C PP Madipur), whose sharp supervision, effective coordination, and timely decision-making were instrumental.
The investigation was closely supervised by Inspector Sanjay Dahiya, SHO Punjabi Bagh, while Shivam, ACP Punjabi Bagh, provided overall operational guidance, ensuring strict adherence to legal procedures.
