In a joint operation with CIA Sector-40 and Gurugram Police, the Special Cell of Delhi Police apprehended two accused wanted in the murder of Neeraj Tehlan at Najafgarh on July 4, 2025. The encounter took place around 4:30 a.m. today in Sector-99, Gurugram.
The Arrested accused have been identified as:
1. Mohit Jakhad (29), son of Surender Jakhar, resident of Goyla Khurd, Chhawla, Delhi.
2. Jatin Rajput (21), son of Shiv Kumar, resident of Vipin Garden, Dwarka More, Delhi.
During the encounter, the accused opened fire on the police team, discharging six rounds. One bullet hit the bulletproof jacket of Head Constable Narpat, and another struck the left arm of Sub-Inspector Vikas. Police fired back in self-defence, injuring both accused in their legs. They were shifted to Civil Hospital, Sector-10, Gurugram, for treatment.
Recoveries from the accused include:
– Two loaded pistols with five live cartridges
– One motorcycle (Splendor)
Further legal proceedings are in progress. The successful operation highlights the effective coordination between Delhi Police and Gurugram Police in tackling serious crime and bringing wanted criminals to justice.
