The Dwarka District Police have arrested a wanted criminal, Rishabh alias Ritik alias Dancer, after an exchange of fire during a joint operation conducted by the Operations Cell, Anti-Narcotics Cell, and AATS Dwarka.
The accused was wanted in a murder case registered at PS Bindapur and had a criminal background. After committing the murder, he came in contact with local criminals to plan further crimes and eliminate witnesses.
On the intervening night of 17–18 Aug, Police at PS Bindapur received information about a stabbing incident. The victim, Kuldeep (son of Sh. Balak Ram), a resident of Raja Puri, Uttam Nagar, later succumbed to his injuries.
A case was registered as FIR No. 518/25 under Section 103 BNS at PS Bindapur.
During the investigation, two accused persons — Pawan alias Punjabi and his associate — were arrested. However, the main accused, Rishabh alias Ritik alias Dancer (son of Sh. Dilip Saxena, resident of Jaithra, District Etah, U.P.) — had been absconding.
After the murder, Ritik reportedly came in contact with local criminals and was planning to commit more crimes with their help.
On 22 October, a credible input was received by the Anti-Narcotics Cell, Dwarka District, that the absconding accused would arrive in the area of Sector-3, Dwarka.
A raiding team was immediately formed under the supervision of DCP Dwarka, Ankit Singh When the team tried to intercept the accused, he opened fire on the police party. The police also fired in self-defense. During the exchange of fire, the accused sustained a gunshot injury and was shifted to Indira Gandhi Hospital for treatment.
Inspector Subhash Chand also sustained a gunshot injury on his left arm and was taken to Venkateshwar Hospital for medical care.

A separate case has been registered at PS Dwarka North in connection with the firing incident.
