In a major success against street crime, the Dwarka North Police team has arrested two desperate gold chain snatchers and auto lifters — Parveen @ Ajju and Naved — both history sheeters from Sultanpuri. With their arrest, three major cases of snatching and vehicle theft have been solved.
The arrested accused have been identified as:
- Parveen @ Ajju, S/o Murari Lal, aged 29 years — a Bad Character (BC) of PS Sultanpuri with over 15 previous cases.
- Naved, S/o Nuruddin, aged 35 years — also a Bad Character (BC) of PS Sultanpuri with over 12 previous cases.
During questioning, both confessed to their involvement in several snatching incidents. They revealed that they used to steal motorcycles from different areas, use them for committing crimes, and later abandon them to avoid being caught.
A Hero Splendor motorcycle, stolen from the area of PS Tilak Nagar, has been recovered from their possession.
The operation was carried out through detailed planning and timely intelligence by the team and the overall supervision of DCP Dwarka District, Ankit Singh.
The quick and efficient action of the team helped in catching these habitual offenders, showing their strong commitment and teamwork in maintaining law and order.
