The team of North Range-I, Crime Branch, Delhi, has arrested a wanted criminal Raj Kumar @ Raj @ Aditya (Age 29 years), son of Satish Kumar, resident of Sector-24, Rohini, Delhi. He was absconding in a serious attempt to murder case registered at PS Budh Vihar, Delhi.
Acting on a secret tip-off, a team of NR-I, Crime Branch led by Inspector Pankaj Thakran, under the overall supervision of ACP Ashok Sharma, laid a trap near Yad Ram Farm, Sonia Vihar Dairy, Delhi.
The team successfully apprehended the wanted accused Raj Kumar @ Raj @ Aditya, who had been evading arrest for over a year.
A Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) had already been issued against him by the Hon’ble Court, MM-04 (North-West), Rohini Courts, Delhi. After verification, he was confirmed as the wanted person an FIR was registered and are arrested.
On 15 August 2023, complainant Rahul Rai along with his friends Ankit @ Papai, Rahul Choudhary, and Vikesh @ V.K. were walking in Mandir Wala Park, Sector-24, Rohini, Delhi.
At that time, some boys — Sahil, Golu @ Lender, Deepak @ Kala, and Rajkumar @ Aditya @ Raj — were standing on the track. When Ankit asked them to move aside, an argument broke out.
In anger, the group caught hold of Ankit, and Deepak @ Kala stabbed him in the stomach with a knife, intending to kill him. A case was then registered at PS Budh Vihar an FIR was registered Since then, accused Rajkumar @ Aditya @ Raj had been absconding.
Profile of the Accused:
The accused Raj Kumar @ Raj @ Aditya is a school dropout. Due to poor financial conditions, he left his studies and began doing small jobs like driving a TSR and working as a watchman. He later came in contact with bad company and got involved in criminal activities.
He was earlier found involved in FIR No. 25/2019 under Sections 363/376 IPC & 4 POCSO Act at PS Shahdara.
