Khoya-Paya Mission brings smiles during Ramleela 2025 with the efforts made by DCP Ankit Singh Dwarka

Report : Manmeen Walia, New Delhi

Dwarka Police once again proved their commitment to public safety by reuniting a 5-year-old girl with her family during the Ramleela Mela at Sec-10 Dwarka.

The child, originally from Begusarai (Bihar), had lost her way while playing in the crowd. She was found crying and scared. Police personnel lovingly carried her, comforted her, and made announcements across the mela to trace her family. After continuous efforts, the girl was finally reunited with her mother, who was overjoyed to see her daughter safe.

Under the leadership of Ankit Singh, DCP Dwarka, special Khoya-Paya Booths were set up at all Ramleela venues in the district. These booths helped trace and reunite lost children and elderly persons with their families. So far, three children, including this 5-year-old, have been successfully reunited during the festival.

The operation was supervised by Rajesh Kumar Sah, SHO Dwarka South and guided by Kishore Kumar Rewala, ACP Dwarka who worked tirelessly in the search.

Ankit Singh, DCP Dwarka said that providing a safe and secure environment during public gatherings is always a top priority. Under his leadership, the Khoya-Paya Mission became a lifeline for families during the festive celebrations. By setting up dedicated help booths and using digital platforms for instant communication, he ensured that no family had to suffer long hours of anxiety when their loved ones went missing.

Citizens at the mela expressed gratitude and praised Dwarka Police for their humane and sensitive approach. Many parents shared that such thoughtful initiatives give them confidence to attend large public gatherings without fear.

The Khoya-Paya Mission stood as a shining example of how good leadership and modern policing can bring smiles and comfort to people. DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh’s vision and people-first approach not only made the Ramleela celebrations safer but also strengthened the public’s trust in Delhi Police.
