TWO SHOOTERS ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH FIRING ON GANG MEMBER ROHIT LAMBA IN NAJAFGARH

Report: Manmeen Walia,

New Delhi, the Dwarka District Police’s AATS and Narcotics teams in a major breakthrough have arrested two shooters involved in the recent firing on Ashok Pradhan gang member Rohit Lamba in the Najafgarh area.

The arrested shooters have been identified as Manish and Himanshu. They had opened fire on Rohit Lamba on the instructions of gangsters Himanshu Bhau and Naveen Bali, who are currently based abroad. After the attack, both shooters fled from Delhi and went into hiding in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. They were traced and arrested in a joint operation.

On the night of October 28, several rounds of bullets were fired at Rohit Lamba in Najafgarh with the intention to kill him. CCTV footage captured 3–4 attackers fleeing the spot in a vehicle. Multiple police teams were formed to identify and nab the suspects.

During interrogation, it was revealed that Deepak, a resident of Gopal Nagar, Najafgarh, was the key conspirator behind the attack. Deepak had a personal enmity with Rohit from their time in Jhajjar Jail, where both had a heated dispute. After his release from jail, Deepak came in contact with Himanshu alias Bhau, a gangster living abroad, who also wanted to eliminate Rohit.

Deepak contacted the shooters Manish and Himanshu and offered them money to carry out the attack. He provided them with Rohit’s photograph and asked them to track his movements. Initially, they used a Scorpio vehicle which was later replaced with a Brezza.

After executing the firing, the accused escaped through the Baprola–Mundka route towards Bahadurgarh, where they were instructed by Deepak to return the rented car to its owner.

The investigation has revealed a deep criminal conspiracy involving jail rivalry, financial motives, and coordination with gangsters operating from abroad.

The commendable coordination and swift action of the Dwarka District Police, AATS, and Narcotics teams under the able supervision of  Ankit Kumar Singh, DCP Dwarka, deserve high appreciation. Their efforts once again highlight Delhi Police’s commitment to ensuring public safety and taking strong action against organized crime.

Further investigation is underway to trace Deepak and others involved in the plot.
