Report: Manmeen Walia, New Delhi
The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested five notorious Shooters, involved in three high-profile murders used to claim responsibility on social media. These shooters linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi, Arju and Harry Boxer gangs. Two of the arrested shooters were directly involved in the murder of Inderpreet Singh alias “Parry” in Chandigarh on December 1.
The arrested accused have been identified as Ankush, Piyush Piplani, Kunwar Bir, Lovepreet and Kapil Khatri.
According to the police, Ankush and Piyush were involved in the December 1 murder of Parry. They acted on instructions received from Harry Boxer and Arju. Piyush Piplani was the main shooter in this killing, and Punjab Police had been conducting continuous raids to trace him.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police Special Cell received specific information that Kunwar Bir was expected to arrive near Shanti Van. Acting swiftly, the police laid a trap and arrested Kunwar Bir along with his associates Lovepreet and Kapil.
During interrogation, crucial information was obtained about Piyush and his associate Ankush. Based on this input, both were arrested about three hours later from the Sarai Kale Khan area at around 8 pm.
Police stated that all five arrested shooters were working for the Lawrence Bishnoi, Arju and Harry Boxer gang network. Piyush and Ankush are close friends and were involved in three murders within five months. Initially associated with Jogendra’s gang, they later came in contact with Harry Boxer and began operating for his network.
Two months ago, Arju and Harry Boxer had allegedly issued threats to several people in Delhi for extortion and dominance, leading to the arrest of some gang members. The arrival of Piyush and Ankush in Delhi clearly indicated their intent to expand their criminal influence. However, Delhi Police acted in time and prevented further crimes.
Three Murders in Five Months

June 5: Murder of kabaddi player Sonu Nolta in Pinjore, Panchkula

Police said that extortion and gang dominance were the main motives behind these killings. After the murder of kabaddi player Sonu Nolta, police became highly alert. Illegal weapons and live cartridges were also recovered from the arrested shooters.
Senior officers appreciated the meticulous planning, swift execution and intelligence-based operations carried out by the Delhi Police Special Cell team.
Special appreciation was extended to Shri Pramod Kushwaha, Additional Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, whose close supervision and strategic leadership played a crucial role in dismantling this dangerous gang module and preventing further bloodshed.
