The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has achieved a major breakthrough by arresting six accused persons, including a key weapon supplier, connected to the notorious Kala Jathedi Gang. Among those arrested is Rohit @ Bachi, an active gang member. This operation has dealt a significant blow to the supply and circulation of illegal firearms in Delhi-NCR
Acting on specific inputs received by ASI Rajender, information was developed that Sahdev @ Dev, a known arms supplier, was active in Delhi.
A raiding party was closely supervised by ACP Satendra Mohan was constituted under the direction of Sh. Harsh Indora, DCP Crime Branch.
In the night of 9/10 September, Sahdev @ Dev was apprehended from Partap Vihar, Delhi, with a country-made pistol and three live cartridges. A case was registered under the Arms Act at PS Crime Branch.
During interrogation, Sahdev revealed he sourced illegal firearms from Aligarh and supplied them to gangsters including Rohit @ Bachi, Satnarain, Raj Rahul, Ravinder @ Dhilu, and Sahil.
On his disclosure, Sahil was arrested in Delhi with a sophisticated pistol and two live cartridges.
Technical surveillance later revealed that Rohit @ Bachi and his associates were travelling to Delhi in a car via Noida. Acting swiftly, the Crime Branch team intercepted them near the Noida-Delhi border on 14 Sep and arrested them. Three sophisticated pistols and eight live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
Rohit @ Bachi, a seasoned criminal, is deeply associated with the Kala Jathedi gang. He has been involved in eight major criminal cases, including the firing on Inspector Sonu Malik of Haryana Police. He is a close confidant of Neeraj Jathedi, nephew of Sandeep @ Kala Jathedi. To evade police pressure, Rohit opened a finance office in Adarsh Nagar, Delhi, but continued to provide financial and logistical support to gang operations. He was also involved in protection rackets for trucks carrying illegal liquor from Haryana to Jharkhand. Rohit often uploaded videos on social media flaunting firearms, furthering his influence and instilling fear in the community.

1. Rohit @ Bachi (S/o Harpal) – 10th pass, unmarried, runs finance office in Adarsh Nagar, provides hideouts to gang members.
2. Satnarain (S/o Sewa Singh) – Graduate, farmer from Panipat, married, involved in multiple criminal cases.
3. Raj Rahul (S/o Rajender) – Class 12th pass from Panipat, entered gang culture for quick money, involved in rioting.
4. Ravinder @ Dhilu (S/o Rambir) – Graduate from Jhajjar, Haryana.
5. Sahil (S/o Nand Kishore) – 5th class pass, works as Sales Executive in Rohini, previously involved in theft and robbery cases.
6. Sahdev @ Dev (S/o Munesh Kumar) – Graduate, weapon supplier, previously involved in a POCSO Act case.

Sahil: Involved in multiple cases of theft, robbery, and conspiracy across Delhi.
Sahdev @ Dev: Booked earlier under POCSO Act and assault cases.
