Delhi Police Rohini District, under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and the policy of Zero Tolerance against drugs, has arrested a drug peddler and recovered 50 grams of heroin (smack) along with a scooty used in the crime.
On 23rd Sep at about 7:15 PM, the Anti-Narcotics Squad of Rohini District was patrolling in the area of PS South Rohini. The team,was led by Inspector Ajmer Singh and supervised by ACP Operations Ishwar Singh.
During patrolling near Jai Veer Chaap, M2K Cinema, Sector 3 Rohini, the team noticed a suspicious man sitting on a scooty. When signaled for checking, he tried to escape but was swiftly apprehended by the alert police staff. On questioning, the man failed to give a satisfactory reply. A search of his possession led to the recovery of 50 gms heroin (smack). He was identified as Mohit (27), resident of Vijay Vihar, Delhi.
After the recovery, of 50 grams heroin(smack) and one snooty used in the commission of the crime a case was registered under at PS South Rohini, and accused Mohit was arrested. Police teams are making efforts to trace the source of supply and the wider network behind the seized narcotics.
Shri Rajeev Ranjan, DCP Rohini District, Delhi appreciated the prompt action of the Anti-Narcotics Cell team and reaffirmed that Rohini Police is committed to a Zero Tolerance policy against drugs under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
