A tragic road accident occurred near Annapurna Mandir in the Sonia Vihar area of North-East Delhi around 10 PM on October 30, Two motorcycles — one bearing registration number DL 4S DF 4893 and another without a number plate — collided, leading to the fatal injury of one rider.
The deceased has been identified as Pramod Sharma (41 years), son of Dinesh Sharma, resident of Gali No. 6, Pushta Road, Swaroop Nagar Extension, Delhi. Police investigations suggest that after the collision, Pramod’s motorcycle was hit by an unknown vehicle.
The body has been sent to GTB Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered at PS Sonia Vihar, and forensic teams have collected evidence from the scene. Efforts are on to identify the rider of the other motorcycle and trace the offending vehicle.
Investigation is underway under the supervision of Ashish Kumar Mishra, DCP North-East District.
